Module description
In this module we provide you with a sound introduction to the various aspects of psychology, focusing on key theories and research. You will become aware of the significance of this body of knowledge to business and organisational psychology. Finally, the purpose of the module is to develop your ability to think critically and constructively about this area of psychology.

Learning objectives
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- understand core theories from biological, cognitive, social and development psychology, and their application to organisational contexts at both team and individual levels
- engage critically with relevant empirical evidence from organisational psychology literature to assess the value of psychological research and workplace interventions
- understand evidence-based practices and strategies within applied areas of organisational psychology
- clearly communicate key psychological theory and actionable recommendations to both academic and lay audiences
- understand how to apply APA formatting, citations and end references in support of evidence-based arguments.
